Future Stars Program

Program for players interested in a bit more than House League but not as much commitment as Competitive

What to expect in Future Stars…

During the practice players will spend an allotted time at stations having fun, developing specific skills and qualities before moving on the to the next station.  By using station work we create an environment where players are continually motivated and continually challenged.

Stations focus on soccer coordination with the ball, soccer technique and small sided soccer games 3v3, 4v4 and 5v5.

All sessions take a holistic approach to developing our youth.  Each game and activity will focus on 4 main areas of the child’s development; these include social/emotional, physical, physiological and also technical.

Summer Future Stars program…

FUTURE STARS PROGRAM (for those born between 2016 and 2021)

Players will be grouped by age

  • Mini Stars – 3 & 4 year olds (2020/2021)
  • All Stars – 5 & 6 year olds (2018/2019)

Our Future Stars program, led by our Club Technical Coach Lev Gorecki with game leaders, is designed for children who wish to take their soccer experience to the next level and improve their soccer skills & technique. It is a stepping stone to prepare players to transition from recreational house league soccer to development soccer at U9 which will lead them to competitive soccer at U13.

The main focus when teaching soccer to children aged 3-8 is to make soccer FUN. A firm foundation will give your child the skills necessary to improve, be successful and fall in love with the beautiful game! FUNdamentals are the foundation to everything. No matter what sport you play FUNdamentals are the building blocks to improving performance.

At MLCFC we teach the FUNdamentals of soccer in a FUN way that children can understand. During the practice players will spend an allotted time at stations having FUN, developing specific skills and qualities before moving on to the next station. Learning ABCs of movement: Agility, Balance, Co-ordination, and speed. By using station work we create an environment where players can work at their own rate to learn proper movement and technique allowing them to feel success and build their confidence.
