Cavan FC Indoor Mixed Soccer League Postponed

Ontario Soccer announced on December 21, 2020 that all soccer activities are suspended for 28 days. With this in mind the start date of the Indoor League has been postponed until February 1st, 2021

Details will follow as we come closer to the start date.

As per the Cavan Monaghan Township Safety policy NO PARENT/GUARDIANS or SPECTACTORS WILL BE PERMITTED inside the facility.

Indoor Mixed Program Details

  • JANUARY 4 – MARCH 13, 2021
  • The Millbrook Arena – Turf Field
  • Boys & Girls Ages 7 – 18 – Mixed Teams
  • 10 Games – 1 game per week
  • Cost per player $150.00
  • Includes a Cavan FC Face Mask

Rowan’s Law

On July 1, 2019, new rules came into effect in Ontario through Rowan’s Law to improve concussion safety in amateur competitive sport. Maple Leaf Cavan FC is advising its athletes under 26 years of age, parents of athletes under 18, coaches, team trainers and officials that they must comply with Rowan’s Law and are required to, as a precondition to participation:

U7/U8/U9 – players born 2014, 2013 & 2012

 

  • SATURDAY MORNINGS
  • Small sided games / 26 player bubble
  • Games are Saturday mornings beginning January 9, 2021 ending March 13, 2021
  • Games kick off at 10:45 am lead by game leader

U10/U11/U12 – players born 2011, 2010 & 2009

 

  • MONDAY EVENINGS (6:00 & 7:20 kickoff times)
  • 4 teams / 12 players per team / playing 7 vs. 7 / 48 player bubble
  • Games are Monday evenings beginning January 4, 2021 – ending March 8, 2021
  • Games kick off at 6:00 pm or 7:20 pm
  • Fully certified Ontario Soccer Match Official at each game

DIVISION FULL – No more spots available

U13 & U14 – players born 2008 & 2007

 

  • THURSDAY EVENINGS (6:00 & 7:20 kickoff times)
  • 4 teams / 12 players per team / playing 7 vs. 7 / 48 player bubble
  • Games are Thursday evenings beginning January 7, 2021 – ending March 11, 2021
  • Games kick off at 6:00 pm or 7:20 pm
  • Fully certified Ontario Soccer Match Official at each game

U15 - U18 – players born 2006 to 2003

 

  •  TUESDAY EVENINGS (6:00 & 7:20 kickoff times)
  • 4 teams / 12 players per team / playing 7 vs. 7 / 48 player bubble
  • Games are  Tuesday evenings beginning January 5, 2021 – ending March 9, 2021
  • Games kick off at 6:00 pm or 7:20 pm
  • Fully certified Ontario Soccer Match Official at each game

Refund Policy

  • If the league is unable to begin due to additional government COVID restrictions being imposed a full refund will be issued.
  • If the league is unable to be completed due to any COVID related issues or additional government  restrictions imposed a partial refund will be issued (less $30.00 for the Ontario Soccer registration fee, $10.00 for the cost of the mask and less a pro-rated calculation based on the number of games played).
 
 

Cavan Monaghan Township Turf Surface Rental Safety Policy

Procedures before, during and after a scheduled booking will consist of the following:

  • Entrance is only permitted at the East side main entrance of the facility.
  • Entrance to the building is permitted 5 minutes prior to the booking start time.
  • Face Coverings must be worn unless otherwise indicated that they are exempt for religious or health reasons by coaches, volunteers, trainers and players in public spaces. Face coverings will not be required once entering the turf surface.
  • Bookings have been arranged to accommodate entrance, exit and sanitization procedures.
  • 30 people maximum will be permitted to enter the turf.
  • 5 authorized adults will be permitted to enter the building to assist with Youth Groups, this number is not counted towards turf Participants.
  • No parents/guardians or spectators permitted in the facility.
  • Leagues may not have more than 50 players in the same group. Groups may not overlap or play each other.
  • Dressing rooms, showers and water stations are not permitted.
  • Benches located in the lobby area marked and situated 2 meters apart will be provided to change into indoor shoes.
  • Players will be permitted to bring one small duffle bag and 1 clearly labeled water bottle.
  • At the end of the allocated time players will have 5 minutes to exit the facility. Exiting the building will take place at the designated exit door located at the south east corner of the turf surface.
  • Smoking, e-cigarettes or vaping are not permitted at any Township facility, property or outdoor park in accordance to the “Smoke-free Ontario Act”.
  • No food or beverages will be permitted inside the facility


All Coaches, league organizers, trainers, volunteers, instructors, and independent user groups must carry out the following:

  • Must conduct team, staff, and or volunteer meetings virtually away from the premises.
  • Must conduct and record COVID-19 screening for all participants in the designated area prior to entering the facility.
  • Must provide the Township with the contact information of all participants, parents and organization staff to facility staff prior to entering the facility.
  • Organizations are asked to manage schedules to avoid entering different facilities on the same day
